If you're embarking on a new career it's always useful to know what sort of money you'll be earning, especially if you've got overheads and other costs to consider. The Infant Massage Information Service, based in Australia, undertook a survey of baby massage instructors to find out how much the typical infant massage instructor can earn.

Of course, there is no 'typical' baby massage instructor as some people teach full time, others part time. Some teach as part of their own business, and some are employed by others. However, the figures are interesting and give some indication as to the level of salary you can expect as a baby massage instructor. Take a look at the full article here. Bear in mind the currency is Australian Dollars. At the time of writing, there is approximately 1.89 Australian Dollars to the UK pound. This means that the AUS$29 quoted in reference to the charge for a 1 hour session, is around £15.50, and AUS$60 is around £31.70. The AUS$120 - $180 per hour for private appointments is around £63.50 - £95.

If you're thinking about learning to teach baby massage, we run courses throughout the year at locations across the UK including Brighton, London, Glasgow, Plymouth, Bournemouth, Doncaster, Bristol, Manchester and Glasgow. If you aren't able to make one of the courses (or you want to learn now during lockdown and /or social distancing), you can choose our distance learning option.
