Here's number 11 of our essential baby sleep tips.... introduce a bedtime/ sleep time phrase.
Any time you put your baby in their cot to go to sleep or they fall asleep elsewhere use the same phrase.
Everyone has different ideas but examples may be: "Bedtime, to go to sleep” or “Off to sleep little one’’. Using the same phrase anchors the words and sounds with going to sleep. This can also then be used in the night to get your baby back to sleep.
We've other sleep tips available on the blog. Take a look here to see them all. If you need support with your baby's or child's sleep, take a look at the help we offer. There's support to suit everyone.
