Anaphylaxis and Epipen Training (2 - 3 hours)
This course is designed to teach participants to recognise the signs and symptoms associated with Anaphylaxis and also the safe administration of epinepharine via an Epipen prescribed to a specific patient.
What you will cover:
★Principles of First Aid
★Approach to an Incident
★Priorities of First Aid
★Airway and Breathing Management
★Definition of Anaphylaxis
★Triggering factors for Anaphylaxis
★Recognition of signs and symptoms associated with Anaphylaxis
★First aid treatment/management plan for anaphylaxis
★Administration of Adrenaline Epi-pen auto injector with a child or adult
★Creating a child/ adult specific protocol
Course Assessment
Competency assessed through participant’s demonstration of practical resuscitation skills and practical demonstration of the administration of the Epi-pen auto injector with the use of a training auto injector.
Certification
Certificate of Attendance - current for a period of 12 months

Anyone working in setting where clients or staff may/ or suffer from Anaphylaxis: nursery, school, play groups, after school clubs, child minders, offices etc....
Where and When? This course can be run in your venue or we can provide a venue, open dates also planned for Hove.
