Intensive Paediatric First Aid Course
for Nannies and other workers registering on
the Voluntary OFSTED Register.
This Intensive Paediatric First Aid Course in Brighton and Hove, London and across the UK on request, focuses on emergency scenarios that are faced by nannies, parents and others
caring for young children
It meets OFSED requirements for the Voluntary part of the register.
What you will learn?
The course covers how to deal with accidents and emergencies involving young children.
The Course Content is as follows

★ First aid kit - what they need to contain and why

★ Action planning

★ Treatment of an unconscious casualty and the recovery position

★ Dealing with Resuscitation and Choking
-
★ Asthma and diabetic emergencies

★ Head injuries
-
★ Seizures
-
★ Bleeding
-
★ Burns and scolds
-
★ Sprains, strains and fractures
-
★ Poisoning, bites and stings
-
★ Foreign objects
-
★ Childhood conditions (e.g. meningitis, croup).
Course duration: 6 hours. Cost: £65
We now have Saturday Courses in Hove or we’ll come to you for In House training.
Courses are facilitated by Experienced Qualified Paediatric Nurses also qualified in Early Years First Aid and Teaching Adult Learners
We use up to date information from the Resuscitation Council and ensure that the course fully meet the requirements for your workplace and any regulatory body such as Ofsted.
Our aim is to run interesting and informative courses which combine therapy and practical activities to empower professionals to feel competent in their skills in the workplace.
Sessions can be run during the day, in the evening or at weekends.
